UPLB is 2nd top performing school in chem boards

UPLB was second top performing school in this year’s Chemist Licensure Examination with a passing rate of 87.72 percent.

Two UPLB graduates were included in the top ten, namely Joyselyn B. Macasaet (87.50%), ninth place, and Jayoh A. Hernandez (87.00%), 10th place.

The result was released by the Professional Regulation Commission two working days after the last day of exam. The commission also announced that 559 out 1019 examinees passed the exam, thus a national passing rate of 54.86%.

This year has the highest number of examinees in history as a result of the implementation of Chemistry Law of the Philippiness, which states that only Registered Chemists have the right to undertake the professional practice of Chemistry.
