The Department of Humanities has a strong interdisciplinary character fostered by the five divisions that compose it. This strong interdisciplinary character is not confined to the department’s research output—it is also reflected in the widely diverse public service activities it engages in. These activities include Pelikultura (a CALABARZON film festival); Rizal the Polyglot (French, Nihongo, and Spanish language learning sessions for students); Towards Safer Spaces (a webinar on the topic of sexual violence in the field of Philosophy); Enhancing Teachers’ Skills in Teaching, Reading, and Writing and English-in-Service Training; and Media and Information Literacy (an afterschool program for Grade 6 students).
