CAS produces 659 graduates, 103 with honors

The College of Arts and Sciences has endorsed 659 students to march during the 46th UPLB Commencement Exercises on June 23, 2018 at the D.L. Umali Freedom Park. Among the 659 students, 103 will graduate with honors: 18 magna cum laude and 85 cum laude.

The BS Biology program produced the biggest number of graduates with 174 students, followed by BS Computer Science with 114, BS Applied Mathematics with 74, BA Communication Arts with 64, BS Mathematics  and BS Statistics both with 42, BS Mathematics and Science Teaching 40, BA Sociology with 36, BS Chemistry with 31, BA Philosophy with 17, BS Applied Physics with 14, and BS Agricultural Chemistry with 11.

The CAS is set to award during its testimonial program for graduating students on June 20, 2018 at the D.L. Umali Freedom Park the following honorees: Alicia Anne  B. Lantican (BS Biology, with GWA 1.2417) with the CAS Faculty Medal for Academic Excellence, Dom Vito A. Briones (BS Mathematics, GWA 1.2945) with the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence, and the rest of the honor  graduates for Academic Year 2017-2018 with Medals of Merit for Academic Excellence. ■
